by the way, Hams are a great source of good QSL cards from rare DX locations. You can also participate in awards programs like WAS (worked all states-SWL/requires QSL from all 50 states. DXCC-SWL QSL's from 100 countries. There are many others sponsored by ARRL.org . I have been trying to get interest in setting up the SWL-Registry, to issue SWL station call signs and register them so when QSL's come in from a SWL station with a call sign the registry would be able to locate the person. The SWLregistry is FREE, call signs are issued in the same fashion as the ITU Ham Call Signs worldwide. The only request is that you send a SASE 9X13 envelope with 3 first class stamps, or postage to cover 3oz first class/or international 3 IRC's and we will supply the envelope and certificate with your station call/SWL unique registered call sign. There is no charge for the certificate.
